Gotstyle at the Oscars

The big news of the week: Gotstyle was mentioned at the Oscars! eTalk and Canada’s Oscar host Ben Mulroney, looking sharp in a black Pal Zileri suit for the awards show, gave us a shoutout while interviewing the celebrities on the red carpet.

Masai Ujiri’s Lucky Suit

Our good friend Masai Ujiri, previously the Director of Scouting for the Toronto Raptors, stopped into the store this afternoon to say his goodbyes. He leaves this weekend for Denver to take on his new role as General Manager for the Nuggets!

Masai is not only the first employee of the Toronto Raptors to be promoted to a higher position to another team, he’s also the first foreign born GM in the NBA.

It may be important to note that Masai wore a Made to Measure suit from Gotstyle to his interview. Like our haircuts, our clothes are your lucky charm too!

Drake in a Paul Betenly suit!

Melissa C. stumbled upon this photo of Toronto’s it-guy Drake in a suit from Gotstyle!

A few weeks ago we had mentioned on Twitter that Drake’s stylist had come by to pick out some clothes for his latest video. It looks like a lot of people were really feeling his new look in one of our new additions to the Gotstyle suit collection, Paul Betenly! (c/o MediaTakeOut)

And while we’re on the topic of styling, Channing Tatum‘s stylists were in the store today picking out suits for his new movie, The Vow!

Toronto Raptors’ Solomon Alabi was in the store yesterday!

The Toronto Raptor’s second round pick, Solomon Alabi, stopped into Gotstyle yesterday, looking to get out of his freshman clothes and into something a little more sophisticated. The 7 foot 1 rookie has a 41 inch sleeve length and size 16 shoes… and was towering over everyone. He even had to duck underneath the canoe at the cash desk!

Colorado Avalanche’s Matt Duchene was in the store!

After finishing his rookie season with the Colorado Avalanche, Matt Duchene was in the store last week. We put him in four different outfits for his photo shoot with 4th Period Magazine.

Tennis Pro Daniel Nestor was in last week too!

Professional tennis player Daniel Nestor was in the store last week, upgrading his wardrobe with a new Cinque suit, and a Ted Baker shirt & tie to match!

Daniel has won 69 men’s doubles titles, including a gold medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics, the Tennis Masters Cup, and 6 Grand Slam men’s doubles titles.

Peter Mensah from 300, Avatar was in the store last week!

Canadian actor Peter Mensah stopped into the store last week to pick up a few pieces of clothing!

Peter played major roles in blockbuster films such as the messenger in 300, Avatar, The Incredible Hulk and the hit TV series, Sparticus. He heard about Gotstyle from his girlfriend, who suggested it to him! He ended up getting two shirts from Eterna and Howe.

Toni Collette, star of the hit TV show, United States of Tara, stopped into Gotstyle with her on-screen son last week, who was looking for a suit for his graduation. In town this month for the filming of her new movie, Jesus Henry Christ, she was told by her crew to come by Gotstyle. They picked up a suit from the Tombolini T-Concept line.

Daniel Craig Gets Suited by Gotstyle

After being measured and picking up a Made to Measure suit at Gotstyle, Daniel Craig sent a thank you card to Joa for suiting him for his upcoming movie, Dream House.
