Barber wanted – You gotta have soul!

by reggie in General on September 2nd, 2010 Discussion

SHARPS Barber and Shops are looking for a barber:

We’re looking for a barber to work in our shop opening soon near Wellington & Bathurst. Its a SHARPS Barber and Shop, so the barber has to have soul. If you can do a mean straight-blade shave, that’s a real asset, clipper work essential.

We have barbershops in other places around the world, so we know what makes a great barber, and what’s going to make this shop a real success. There’s nothing really like it in TO at the moment, so maybe this is the job you’ve been looking for.

Send an email to barbers@sharpsnyc.com with a profile of yourself, and what makes you a great barber for this job. We’ll be interviewing this weekend in Toronto, so don’t hold back, make the move!

Take it easy,
The SHARPS Team.

The episode also includes the process of consultation, haircut, and facial grooming with a model, along with tips on how to also stylize the groomsmen.

Catch her on an upcoming episode of Fashion District, as it begins its run shortly!

Masai Ujiri’s Lucky Suit

by reggie in General on August 28th, 2010 Discussion

Our good friend Masai Ujiri, previously the Director of Scouting for the Toronto Raptors, stopped into the store this afternoon to say his goodbyes. He leaves this weekend for Denver to take on his new role as General Manager for the Nuggets!

Masai is not only the first employee of the Toronto Raptors to be promoted to a higher position to another team, he’s also the first foreign born GM in the NBA.

It may be important to note that Masai wore a Made to Measure suit from Gotstyle to his interview. Like our haircuts, our clothes are your lucky charm too!

Congratulations Masai!

What Happens in Vegas…

by Melissa in General on August 23rd, 2010 Discussion

Just got back from Vegas, attending the MAGIC Show. No, it’s not a David Copperfield convention, but one of the largest conventions for menswear retail and buying. Not only does it include MAGIC (meaning Men’s Apparel Guild of California) but also four other trade shows Project, Pool, MR, ENK, and Capsule. Some thoughts on Vegas?
