What’s New: Golfwear from Sligo

by reggie in New Arrivals on May 31st, 2011 Discussion

Sligo is a Canadian golfwear company that we’ve had our eye on for a while (well actually a few customers recommended them). The brand was started by four Toronto golfing buddies who saw a need for more fashionable apparel in the marketplace. Their golf tees are slim fitted, however not European cut. It’s the perfect fit for the bigger guys who don’t like it tight, but appreciate their shirts form fitting.

Sligo is the perfect blend of fashion and functionality:
1. All of the golf tops are a technical polyester interlock with wicking properties, UV protectant, antimicrobial (so they won’t smell) and have a 4 way mechanical stretch (so you can move comfortably).
2. The pants and shorts are a polyester / lycra blend so they dry easily and are super comfortable.

The line is also endorsed by golf heavyweights & tournament champs Brian Gay and Justin Hicks (seen above).

Hit the fairways in style with four fun patterns of golf tees (from $65 to $70), and different styles of shorts ($65 to $75) and pants ($80)!

It’s Time to Show Some Knee!

by reggie in New Arrivals on May 24th, 2011 Discussion

Summer is almost here and it’s time…..it’s time to get over your boxy, too long, past the knee board shorts and start wearing shorts like a man. You heard us, it’s time to show some knees. I know some guys are scared of showing them but trust us you look WAAAY better when you wear a trimmer short versus the ones that make you look like a hobbit (and it doesn’t matter how tall you are, long shorts make all men look like hobbits!)

In the store now:

Original Paperbacks from California, organically dyed and super soft finishing. Great to bring in some color and fun after a long winter. Two different lengths to choose from $110

Loft 604 a new Canadian brand offering a longer short (but still at knee length) with a fun roll-up and a slouchy khaki short. $85
